Mercedes-Benz's new 4Matic system for compact cars

Most of Mercedes-Benz's cars come with their 4Matic all wheel drive system except for their compact models, the A-Class and the B-Class, which are front wheel driven.

But in the near future, one of their upcoming compact models, the CLA Class sedan will feature a new version of the 4Matic system which is specially designed for cars with transversely mounted engines.

Skoda's sales growth continues in November

While car makers like PSA Peugeot, Citroen and Opel are announcing job cuts and factory shutdown due to declining sales, Skoda appears to buck the trend.

The year-to-date sales of the Czech car maker grew by 6.9% between January to November. Absolute figure is about 873,000 units. Boeing and BMW join forces on carbon fibre research

BMW and Boeing have signed a deal to conduct research on new ways of carbon fibre recycling and manufacturing. Carbon fibre is highly regarded as a material for the future of the aerospace and automobile industry due to its low density and high mass.

Both companies have plans on the usage of carbon fibre in their upcoming products. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is made up of 50% carbon fibre while BMW's i3 and i8 electric models will feature a cabin furnished with similar materials when they are launched.

This wide and wonderful Q5 has received the ABT treatment, and we can't help but yelp about it! Sometimes you don't realise what you want until you've been given a taste of it. I hate that. Until today, I was perfectly fine with the way a stock Audi Q5 looks and performs. I’ll say it again - until today.
